Winchester, TN – After six years of continuous volunteer service, Margaret Lynch has completed her rotation as a member of Southern Tennessee Medical Center/Emerald Hodgson Hospital’s Board of Trustees.

Through her service, Lynch has assisted in determining the scope of health care services offered at Southern Tennessee Medical Center/Emerald Hodgson and Franklin County. Her term concluded as a Board of Trustee Member effective December 2013.

During Lynch’s six years of service on the Board of Trustees, many new health care services have been introduced and numerous outpatient clinics and other facilities have been added to the growing hospitals’ campuses. Organizational milestones achieved during her service were the addition of a brand new state of the art Cardiac Cath lab, full remodel of the Childbirth Center, development of the Hospitalist program, multiple Radiology equipment upgrades including a brand new CT scanner at EHH and many specialty service lines including Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine, Neurology and many more. Also, Lynch aided in the recruitment of over 30 new physicians since 2008!

"Lynch has been directly involved in many decisions related to the growth of local healthcare services since she joined Southern Tennessee Medical Center/Emerald Hodgson Hospital’s Board of Trustees in 2008,” said Phil Young, CEO. "The depth and breadth of healthcare services available today are related to the dedication and interest of board members like Margaret," Young added.
