New urologist strengthens local medical community.

 Winchester – Southern Tennessee Regional Health System today announced that Sara Wells, M.D., has joined its staff and will be offering urology services to patients throughout the Tennessee valley. Dr. Well brings over 5 years of experience and expertise to Southern Tennessee Regional.

“Dr. Wells has years of experience in treating a range of complex conditions, and she is an excellent addition to our hospital team,” said Jerry Dooley Interim CEO of Southern Tennessee Regional.  “ Innovative urology is a constant need in southern Tennessee, and Dr. Well’s expertise will be important as Southern Tennessee Regional strives to meet our region’s evolving healthcare needs and make our community healthier.”

Dr. Wells joins our local health system from Upper Cumberland Urology Associates, where she has been instrumental in their success for the past 2 years.  Before Upper Cumberland Urology Associates, she was a resident urologist at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Wells graduated from University of Kansas in 2009. She completed her residency at the University of Louisville.  Dr. Wells is a certified by the Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association.
