New Medical Center for Summertown

August 28, 2014

Lawrenceburg, TN…Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Lawrenceburg officials announce the plans for a new medical facility in Summertown.

“I could not be more thrilled to announce to our community the groundbreaking and eventual opening of Summertown Medical Center”, said STRHS Lawrenceburg CEO Jeff Noblin. “This is a huge step for our hospital to be able to expand access to primary care in northern Lawrence County. Many Summertown residents have waited patiently over the years for this type of physician-led, extended hours clinic to open, and their patience will pay off as we intend for this practice to be full service and provide residents with convenient, quality healthcare close to home. “

The new Summertown Medical Center will be located beside the Superrama in Summertown. The building will have more than 4000 square feet and will house a comfortable waiting area, business office, seven exam rooms, a lab, and x-ray suite. The medical center staff will be comprised of a physician, nurse practitioners, nursing, and office staff..

“This facility is great news for residents in Summertown and Northern Lawrence County”, said commissioner, Scott Franks. “Due to the location, it will also draw patients from Maury, Giles and Lewis Counties. STRHS has obviously recognized that this area continues to see the highest growth in the area and they are investing in it for the future. Summertown has needed such a full-service facility for a number of years. We look forward to this great addition to our community.”

Mr. Noblin added, “I am also excited to be able to work with Mark Tietgens and the Tietgens family on this project. Mark has been a tremendous resource for the hospital and an exceptional advocate for business development and growth in Lawrence County.”

The Summertown Medical Center will be open by the end of the year with a grand opening and open house slated for December. For additional information about the Summertown Medical Center contact Tina Holt at 762-6571.
