Female OB/GYN Joins Hospital Staff

August 22, 2014

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Lawrenceburg (STRHS Lawrenceburg) officials announce the addition of Amanda D. Haneline, MD to the medical staff.

“It is extremely exciting to have Dr. Haneline join our staff”, said STRHS Lawrenceburg CEO Jeff Noblin.   “As we searched for an OB/GYN we wanted to find someone highly qualified and skilled, one that would mesh with our existing medical staff and hospital staff, and one who had a desire to become an active member of the community. We found that physician in Amanda Haneline. She is an impressive individual professionally and personally.”

Dr. Haneline received her Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Tennessee Martin majoring in Biology and graduating Summa Cum Laude. She was awarded her Medical Degree from East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine and recently completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

Throughout Dr. Haneline’s education she has been involved in numerous volunteer efforts from serving on a medical team during a mission trip to Ecuador, to performing well child checks for migrant children, to speaking to school aged children about tobacco and drug use, to participating in various health fairs. She also has presented high school health classes with a lecture on the importance of contraception and the dangers and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.

Dr. Haneline is a member of several medical organizations such as the Tennessee Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

“The addition of Dr. Haneline to our staff provides females of Lawrence and surrounding counties another option for their obstetrical and gynecological care and needs that is close to their homes”, added Noblin. “Our goal is to provide this type of specialized care so that individuals will have the convenience of receiving quality care locally. “

Dr. Haneline, her husband, Craig, and two daughters have relocated to Lawrenceburg. She joined the medical team at the Women’s Health Clinic at 1605 S. Locust Ave., Suite 200 in Lawrenceburg this month. For additional information about Dr. Haneline, or inquire about making an appointment, call 931-766-4560.
