STMC / EHH 2011 National Hospital Week Donation Drives Successful

An employer is reminded of how great their employees are when those employees choose to place focus on the needs of their community over their own.  That is exactly what the employees of Southern Tennessee Medical Center and Emerald-Hodgson Hospital did during National Hospital Week, May 8-14, 2011.

The theme for this year’s National Hospital Week was “Champions of Care.”  The employees at EHH held a donation drive to help our Alabama neighbors with their needs after the tornadoes.  The employees at STMC held donation drives to benefit three local organizations:  the Animal Harbor / Franklin County Humane Society; the Winchester Lions Club; and the Haven of Hope.

“We are proud of and appreciate our “Champions of Care,” states Whitney Franklin, STMC/EHH Marketing Director.  “Not only do our employees strive to provide the best possible care on a daily basis to our patients and their families,“ she continues, “they go the extra mile and find time to do caring things for our community.”
